Christmas Break Bucket List

Mary Mount

It’s officially 12 days until Christmas and there is so much to do before the big day. The Christmas season doesn’t “technically” end the day of Christmas, but there are some things you should do before then so you can relax and have the day off.

Get your shopping done early:

Shopping can be the most stressful thing about the Holidays, but it’s easiest if you get it all done weeks before. As time is running out it doesn’t seem like you have much time, which stresses many parents and friends out. The best solution is to look for great deals and buy the best present weeks before, not only will you possibly get a better deal than days before, but also feel relaxed from getting something done.

Cook ahead of time:

Santa is always looking for those cookies by the tree every Christmas Eve. If you are the person to put out cookies for Santa or just for you and your friends, then baking a week before or a few days before might be better than on the day. This can be a fun event for you and your family or friends a few days before to relax and enjoy a sweet snack.

Decorate Early:

Decorating can seem to take forever and it may be stressful to see unopened boxed in your living room, that’s why I recommend setting aside two full days of decorating your room or house. If the decorating is out of the way your house not only looks beautiful and festive but also there are fewer things to do before having family or friends over for the holidays. This doesn’t have to be a chore; invite some friends over and decorate the tree together as a fun event.

Some other fun Ideas:

-Buying festive pajamas

-Watch your favorite Christmas movie

-Make a gingerbread house

-Go sledding

-Play in the snow
