The AP has released the new top 25 rankings as of Monday. You can see the full list below.

Last week was a crazy week for college basketball. Their were multiple large invitationals which saw teams lose for the first time, including Michigan State, North Carolina, and Duke. The Duke Blue Devils hosted unranked Stephen F. Austin State University last week, which they would end up regretting. The Lumberjacks came out strong, and were able to keep pace with Duke and eventually get the win. The Michigan State Spartans similarly lost to an unranked opponent, with Virginia Tech taking the win 71-66.

In the Battle 4 Atlantis tourney over Thanksgiving weekend, the Michigan Wolverines showed the country that they can compete. They knocked off number 7 North Carolina, and number 8 Gonzaga, which isn’t bad for an unranked team. The ranking committee liked this so much, that Michigan jumped from being unranked to number 4 in the country. This just so happens to be the second-largest jump ever, the other being 1989-1990 Kansas.

The ACC/Big 10 Challenge began last night, with some great marquee matchups. No. 1 Louisville defeated No. 4 Michigan to prove they are the best team in the country. Also, No. 10 Duke defeated No. 11 Michigan State, handing the Spartans their third loss.
