Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday

Bianca Schnerre

Cyber Monday is December 2nd, which is two days after Black Friday. Similar to Black Friday, Cyber Monday is a day of retail deals where many people do their holiday shopping. The nice thing about Cyber Monday is that you don’t have to leave the comforts of your home and you don’t have to run the risk of encountering crazy shoppers. Another benefit to Cyber Monday is that you also don’t have to wait around in check-out lines for hours.

In 2018 Cyber Monday hit a spending of $6.6 billion dollars in the United States breaking sales records and established itself at the top of the biggest shopping days. Cyber Monday is expected to continue to grow to record breaking levels each year.

Personally I think Cyber Monday is usually better than Black Friday, but I also enjoy the comforts of my home especially the part where I get to avoid the stereotypical crazy shoppers and the long check-out lines. I think if my mom were reading this she would disagree, because she shops on Black Friday like it’s an Olympic sport. I would also consider her one of those stereotypical crazy shoppers.
