Red Ribbon Week is next week from October 23rd to the 31st. Red Ribbon Week is a national drug awareness campaign. It was started after the death of a Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena who was ruthlessly murdered by drug traffickers he was investigating. As a tribute to Camarena, they started wearing red ribbons to show their support against drugs. On a similar subject next week, we will be having an assembly on Thursday about vaping.
