The Area 51 raid was supposed to be a joke, until over 1 million people signed up on Facebook to go and raid the site. The “raid Area 51” plan went viral almost instantly. The man who started the facebook group backed out and said it was meant to be a joke. A U.S. air force spokesman responded, “Any attempt to illegally access the area is highly discouraged.” Recently, on September 18th a dutch Youtuber and his friend tried getting near Area 51 and they were arrested and jailed in Nevada.
