The Orion Charger Volleyball team had an intense game between Davenport North. The JV started off a little shaky, and fell short in their first set, 13-25. They came out with energy in the second set, and were not willing to give up. They tied the score to 24-24. They ended up getting the next two points to win the second set, 26-24. Taking the match to three sets, the team was a little tired due to the extreme heat conditions in the gym. The JV managed to take the third set, 15-11.

The Varsity Volleyball team played best of five sets instead of best of three, like normal. With a strong start in the first set, 10-0, the team did not let up and ended up winning the first set 25-13. Although the gym was very hot and floors were very slippery, the team did not let that affect their game. The second set was a little closer, as the two teams continued to battle. Orion then went on a serving run to take a bigger lead. Orion then won the second set, 25-18. Normally, the team would be done because they won 2 sets already, but in Iowa they play best of five. So, they had to go on into a third set. The team did not lose their focus when playing the third set, and continued to stay on top the whole set. Orion swept Davenport North in three sets, by winning the third set 25-19.
