U.S. Bombs Syria

Julia Moore

Last night the United States sent close to 60 missiles to Syria in response to a chemical weapons attack that killed close to 100 people. Around 6 people were killed due to the missiles sent, although the U.S. states the missiles were not targeted to civilians. The U.S.’s target was aimed at a military airfield. The purpose of the missiles was not to start a war but to protect innocent lives. Trump says “It is in this vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons”. The U.S. wanted to stop Syria from the use of chemical weapons and hopefully stop any other countries intending to use chemical warfare.
